Tom Hardy wants to appear in the Peaky Blinders movie at all costs
“Alfie is going to make an appearance, that's 100% sure…”
Tom Hardyis currently in full promotion of The Bikeridersand he takes advantage of his tour to recall all the attachment he has to the series Peaky Blinders…even if it means moving forward a little.
“Alfie is going to make an appearance, that’s 100% sure,” he assures Sky News about the series finale shot in the form of feature film. Before adding: “I don't know if he'll be in the movie actually, it's just me getting excited now.”
A very enthusiastic reaction from the actor who loved participating in the series. Arriving during season 2, his character, Alfie Solomons, leader of a competing glove of the Shelbys, evolved enormously over the following seasons. We won't spoil anything here, but given certain events in the show, fans know that with Alfie… anything is possible!
Which gives hope of actually seeing him appear in the film Peaky Blinderswhich will be shot in September under the direction of Tom Harper (Agent Stone), from a screenplay by Steven Knight. Cillian Murphy will be back in the Tommy Shelby costume, surrounded by the usual actors. Rebecca Ferguson (Mission: Impossible 5, 6, 7, Dune 1 And 2) will she also be there? It is rumored that Netflix is definitely courting the actress, either for this film or for Kathryn Bigelow's next political thriller (Zero Dark Thirty)…
"It looks like Tommy Shelby isn't done with me," commented Cillian Murphy when the film was confirmed by the streaming platform. “It's very rewarding to collaborate again with Steven Knight and Tom Harper on the film version of Peaky Blinders. This film will be made for the fans.”
Tom Hardy is obviously not the only one to be very excited about this sequel!
