Walking Dead: why does Daryl Dixon still not speak French in season 2?

Walking Dead: Norman Reedus reacts to the shock death of episode 4

“I was really sad to see her go…” confides the American actor.

As in the finest hours of The Walking Deadthe spin-off dedicated to Daryl Dixon did not hesitate to kill a major character in the story. So who died this week in season 2? Spoiler alert!

If episode 4 reunited Daryl with Carol, it also took away his new love, the Frenchwoman Isabelle, played by Clémence Poésy. In “La Paradis Pour Toi” (intentional lack of French), Sister Isabelle was stabbed to death and took her last breath in the arms of her biker, with whom she will not experience the happy ending she had hoped for.

I was really sad to see Clémence Poésy leave, because I really loved him“, reacts Norman Reedus for TVLine. “She brought a certain very valuable quality to the show. She’s a great actress and she has some really good ideas. I saw her go from episode 1 to the next season, and her character changed so much. Isabelle was a great character.”

Her death will obviously have repercussions on Daryl, although he will first have to put his grief aside, in order to ensure that Isabelle’s nephew, Laurent, is not sacrificed by Losang and Jacinta as their messiah. “There are so many crazy things happening in a very short space of time. Isabelle’s mission was to protect Laurent and therefore Daryl will absolutely want to ensure that he is safe and sound..” In a way, this mission will be a relief for Daryl, who will not have to deal with the pain of grief immediately. “But he will have to face it at one point or another…
