Paradise: the amazing series that must be looked at without talking about it (critic)

There are twists on all floors in the new series of the creator of This Is Us, which signs a particularly euphoric drawers. So we’re not going to tell you anything, just make you want to look at it.

Almost 10 years ago, Dan Fogelman amazed everyone with the pilot of This is us And his final surprise. The creator changes register but keeps his good habits with Paradisea brand new thriller that starts today on Disney Plus In France. The kind of series that it is better to discover without knowing anything about what will happen. So in this criticism, we’re not going to tell you anything, just make you want to look at it.

Sterling K. Brown embodies an American secret service agent, responsible for the protection of President Bradford (played by James Marsden) Freshly removed in a peaceful small town. But a bloody drama will question everything … Who? For what ? How ? Or ?

Questions fuse at the end of the first act. And what is good with Paradiseis that you should not wait for leads before you have answers. Episode 1 ends with a huge twist which clearly defines the framework of the series, while proposing us in a disturbing and fascinating world.

Twists, there are on the shovel, on each floor of this series adept at the reversal of the brain. Paradise Look at a thriller with drawers where the mysteries pile up, but where the resolutions respond so quickly. Everything does not always stand up and you will sometimes find it pulled by the hair (without a doubt). But the pace of revelations is particularly euphoric. Despite his narration in flashbacks (at the Lost), Fogelman has concocted a political thriller with an incredible efficiency, a strange hybrid television object, somewhat shaken, certainly, but which gains in episode intensity in episode. Increasingly exciting, increasingly exciting – to the complete confession of episode 7, absolutely denied – Paradise Go crescendo, boosted by an inhabited cast.

Sterling K. Brown (former of This is us) does a perfect Hero action. James Marsden is impeccable as a deputy president Kennedy sauce. But it is above all the fantastic (and too little known) Julianne Nicholson (Sacred to Emmys for his supporting role in Mare of Easttown) who bursts the screen as a roller leader pulling the strings, completely elusive.

So if you just finished season 2 of Silo And that you are on your teeth, this new series Wtf is made for you. As long as you let yourself be taken in the game, this Paradise could well become your new obsession.

Paradise, season 1 in 8 episodes. The first three episodes are available on Disney Plus. A new episode to see every Tuesday until March 8.
