Alexandre Astier finally reveals the first Kaamelott teaser - second part

Already 162,000 spectators in France for Kaamelott – Second part (part 1)

Released in theaters yesterday, Alexandre Astier’s film is off to a good start, boosted by its numerous previews.

This is no surprise: Kaamelott – Second Part (Part 1) is firmly at the top of the French box office this Wednesday.

Among the new releases, Alexandre Astier’s film attracted 76,841 spectators on 732 prints on this day alone, an average per print of 105 spectators. Taking advantage of numerous previews which were sold out (85,000), the Arthurian comedy already has an impressive total of 162,792 cumulative spectators. It’s a lot, but it’s less than Kaamelott – First Part ! In 2021, AVPs had exploded the counters (more than 300,000) and the film already had more than 400,000 tickets after its official release day. A phenomenon which quickly calmed down, with the implementation of the health pass, and the Knights of the Round Table ended up at 2.6 million.

While waiting to know if Kaamelott – Second Part (Part 1) will do just as well, it’s a Japanese anime, Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze’s Arc (Sony Pictures) which takes a surprising second place with 43,290 admissions on 287 prints, and an average of 151 spectators per theater, indicating that the enthusiasm for the adaptation of the manga has been intense.

Behind, three films are vying for third place. The Shrinking Man (Universal), adaptation of the novel carried by Jean Dujardin, narrowly takes it. Jan Kounen’s film already has 20,000 admissions (30,000 with AVP) in a fleet of 460 theaters.

We also find The Little Last (Ad Vitam). The Cannes sensation signed Hafsia Herzi came close to 20,000 spectators on 231 copies and doubled his score thanks to his AVP.

And finally the animated gem Arco (Diaphana Distribution), Cristal from the last Annecy Festival, which reached 19,000 admissions, and is also well boosted by its AVP (37,000 in total).

Outside the top 5, the Springsteen musical biopic, starring Jeremy Allen White, titled Deliver Me From Nowhereis struggling with less than 10,000 entries for 292 copies.
