Best 1st day of the year in France for Avatar: Of Fire and Ashes

James Cameron’s blockbuster does better than Lilo & Stitch and Zootopia 2, for its debut at the French box office.

How many entries will Avatar 3 by the end of the year?

The sprint is on for Of Fire and Ashesin French cinemas since yesterday. And they are already filling up frantically. There were already more than 273,000 spectators at the end of the first day, in 728 cinemas (or €2.9 million in revenue in France already). It’s simply the Best First Day of the Year.

And the Disney blockbuster thus surpasses… two other Disney films. Avatar 3 does better than Lilo & Stitch (260,176 tickets in 590 sites in May) and Zootopia 2 (253,488 tickets in 645 cinemas in November).

A good omen for the continuation of the saga of James Cameron, which was in the same waters (around 230,000 tickets sold in 800 theaters) at the time ofAvatar 2 in 2022. The very first Avatar had done better, since 320,000 curious people had rushed into theaters on its first day in 2009 (but with previews at the time).

It should be noted thatAvatar And Avatar 2 had exceeded 14 million admissions in France!
