Castlevania Nocturne: the trailer that revisits the French Revolution
The origins of Richter Belmont, in bloody France at the end of the 18th century.
Blood will flow during the French Revolution. And not necessarily because of Robespierre! Vampires will shake the Kingdom of France in the new gothic adventures of Castlevaniawhich will be called Night, as revealed in the new trailer today (below). This new series of the franchise will address “the poignant themes of love and loss” and will allow us to discover for the first time the origins of Richter Belmont, one of the heroes of the video game.
“France, 1792 – the height of the French Revolution. In a remote part of western France, the counter-revolutionary aristocracy has forged an alliance with a terrifying vampire messiah, who promises to “eat the sun” and unleash an army of vampires and nocturnal creatures to crush the revolution and enslave humanity” reveals the synopsis. “Annette, a witch from the Caribbean, seeks Richter Belmont, the last scion of the legendary family of vampire hunters, to lead the resistance.”
The series is written by Kevin Kolde and Clive Bradley. It was produced by the animation studios Project 51 Productions and Powerhouse Animation.
The anime series Castlevania: Nocturne will be an adaptation of the iconic games Castlevania Symphony of the Night And Rondo of Blood. It will be released on September 28.
