Chadwick Boseman will have his star on Hollywood Boulevard
Like Carrie Fisher recently, the Black Panther star will be honored posthumously.
His passing in the summer of 2020, aged just 43, was a shock. Chadwick Boseman died at the height of his career, on the strength of the success of Black Panther at Marvel, but also several independent films noticed: Get On Upby Tate Taylor, Message from the Kingby Fabrice du Welz, Da 5 Bloodsby Spike Lee, Ma Rainey’s Bluesby George C. Wolfe…
We have just learned that he will be honored for his short but consequent career, with a star on Hollywood Boulevard Walk of Fame. The precise date has not yet been communicated, but he is one of the selected for 2024. Logically, it is his relatives (his family, actors and filmmakers who have worked alongside him) who will inaugurate his star.
That’s what happened last month for Carrie Fisherthe popular actress of Star Wars, whose death at the end of 2016 was just as sudden. It was Mark Hamill, his playing partner in the saga of George Lucas, and his daughter Billie Lourd, who paid tribute to the star when being honored on Hollywood Boulevard.
In addition to Boseman, the new stars given to movie stars in 2024 will honor Kevin Feige, the boss of the MCU, the interpreter of Wonder Woman Gal Gadot, the actress of Donnie Darko And The Deuce Maggie Gyllenhaal, the producer at Blue Sky (The Ice Age) Chris Meledandri, the star actor of the new star trek Chris Pine, the heroine of casper, The Addams Family And Wednesday Christina Ricci, and finally Michelle Yeoh, Oscar winner this year for Everything Everywhere All at Once.
