Community Movie Filming Pushed Back to Next Year
Joel McHale explains that this time it’s his fault.
Six seasons and a movie… maybe one day. Nine years after the end of Communitythe promise is struggling to come to fruition. While the feature film had been announced in recent months, Joel McHale is cooling the ardor of fans. In a new interview with GQ, he explains that filming will have to wait a little longer.
Jeff Winger’s interpreter reveals: “I can’t tell you exactly when it will happen… We had thought at one point that we would be able to film this year, and then it didn’t happen.“He then reassures: “But we have the money to do it and that’s already a big step. Peacock is paying for it.”
He claims that the filming must take place “next year, but it’s still vague“And above all, he asks fans not to blame Donald Glover. Because this time, it’s Joel McHale who is behind the postponement : “If it’s anyone’s fault, it’s mine. It’s my schedule that caused this postponement this time. It’s not Donald’s schedule at all. He was available.”
Hoping it will still be available next year… The movie Community does not have a release date yet.
