Drops of God season 2 unveils a darker trailer
Fleur Geffrier and Tomohisa Yamashita are back on Apple TV.
It’s time to raise a glass.
Apple TV has just revealed the trailer for season 2 of Drops of God, confirming the return of one of the most elegant and unique series in its catalog. Led by Fleur Geffrier and Tomohisa Yamashita, this Franco-Japanese production, inspired by the cult manga of the same name ranked New York Times Bestseller, is about to plunge back into the cozy – but merciless – world of great wines and impossible heirlooms.
Acclaimed for its first season, the series is still broadening its horizons. What seemed like a sensory competition now becomes a true odyssey through time, continents and family secrets. The trailer announces a clear increase in power, darker too.
The official synopsis sets the tone: “In this second season, Camille and Issei face their most perilous challenge: discovering the origin of the greatest wine in the world, a mystery so deep that even Alexandre Léger, their father, was unable to solve. What begins as a matter of inheritance becomes a quest for truth, across continents and centuries, revealing forgotten stories, hidden rivalries and secrets buried for generations. As their challenge takes them to the four corners of the world, and pushes them to search deep within themselves, Camille and Issei must decide how far they are willing to go and the answer could break the bond that binds them… or even destroy them themselves.
Made up of eight episodes, this season 2 of Les Gouttes de Dieu will reveal the first episode will be available on Wednesday January 21, 2026 on Apple TV+, before a weekly broadcast schedule, with a new episode every Wednesday until March 11.
