Wednesday season 2: the end of part 1 explained

Falling hearing for Wednesday, the rest of season 2 does not work as well as expected

Significantly fewer fans for part 2 in September than for part 1 in August …

Was it really a good idea to cut this season 2 in two parts?

Back in September with the last four episodes of his season 2, Wednesday did not find the enthusiasm of part 2.

The last four episodes have accumulated 28.2 million views in five days on Netflix, a drastic drop of 43.6 % compared to the first part, which had attracted 50 million spectators over the same period, in August. Is it because of the start of the school year? Of the end of the summer? Or because the phenomenon Wednesday Addams is running out of steam?

You still have to temper: despite this undeniable hearing fall, Wednesday’s scores are still good.

The black comedy carried by Jenna Ortega remains number 1 of the top 10 of the platform, while the first half of season 2 still occupies sixth place.

This decrease may also be explained by the arrival of a serious competitor on the same target: season 2 of the Teen Drama my life with the Walter Boys garnered 10.9 million views in the second week, also propelling season 1 in the top 10 (5th place with 3.5 million views between September 1 and 7).

Note that season 1 of Wednesday remains, to date the most watched Anglo-Saxon series in Netflix’s history, with 252 million views in 91 days (behind the Korean series Squid Game).
