French box office: the bad guys 2 and passed out are still in good shape

And sentimental value achieves a good start.

Small week in French theaters, while the summer holidays end.

Bad Guys 2 Stay solidly hung on the head. The animated film of DreamWorks and Universal Pictures retains its first place with 200,000 new entries (in 1071 rooms), and keeps a beautifully stable attendance after four weeks (- 1 %). The cumulative now exceeds a million spectators with us and the rest should beat the first part, which had finished at 1.2 million (in 2022).

Passed out is also maintained in second position. The terror thriller (Warner Bros. Discovery) remains stable at the top of the ranking with 175,000 admissions (out of 462 rooms) and a slight withdrawal of 13 %. The cumulative total reaches almost 700,000 spectators. An excellent score after 3 weeks, for this gender film without license.

Another good surprise: the French comedy There is no network (Pathé / Studio TF1) continues to attract families: 130,000 spectators (out of 597 rooms) in the third week, it is only 4 % decline. The attendance is good and the comedy carried by Gérard Jugnot and Maxime Gasteuil approaches 500,000 spectators.

On the side of the news of the week, you can look at the side of Sentimental value (Memento) which signs a promising start with almost 130,000 admissions. It’s twice better than the first week of Julie (in 12 chapters). Joaquim Trier then finished 220,000 spectators after a nice word of mouth.
