Mystery in Venice: the new Hercule Poirot turns into a horror movie (trailer)
Kenneth Branagh once again slips into the detective’s shoes, alongside Camille Cottin, Kelly Reilly and Michelle Yeoh.
After two detective thrillers, The crime of the Orient Express (2017) and Death on the Nile (2022), Hercule Poirot embarks on yet another investigation in the heart of post-war disaster-stricken Venice. But this time, the new case adapted from Agatha Christie turns rather to the horror film. The new pictures of Mystery in Venice, broadcast this Wednesday, already offer their share of screamers, distressing music and ghostly presences. Enough to scare the detective, always interpreted by Kenneth Branaghwho is also directing the film.
On All Saints’ Eve, a terrifying mystery will mark Poirot’s return to center stage. Now retired, he reluctantly attends a seance in a disused and supposedly haunted palazzo. When one of the guests is murdered, he finds himself propelled into a sinister world filled with shadows and secrets…
In the casting, we also find Camille Cottin, Kelly Reilly, Michelle Yeoh, Jamie Dornan (Fifty Shades of Grey, Belfast), And Tina Fey (Lolita in spite of me).
