Resident Evil reveals his return! Requiem trailer
The 9th opus of the Capcom video game saga will be released in 2026.
While waiting to see what the reboot of the saga at the cinema will give, resident Evil continues to haunt our consoles.
Capcom announced in Los Angeles during the Summer Game Fest the release of Resident Evil Requiemninth opus of the cult video game saga. It will be the February 27, 2026 on PlayStation 5,, Xbox Series X | S And Steam. And by the way, we already discover a first trailer in the form of a cinematic video:
The surprise was total. The Japanese publisher was the 30th anniversary of the franchise resident Evil – which will be celebrated next March – and has thus lifted the veil on its title presented as “A concentrate of terror that will freeze you to the bones”.
Resident Evil Requiem will mark the arrival of a brand new main character: Grace Ashcroftan FBI agent who is investigating the murder of her mother in a disturbing hotel of City connect. This personal drama plunges her back to the heart of a place now ravaged, years after the nuclear bombing supposed to eradicate the T. virus and connoisseurs will have recognized the name of her mother: Alyssa Ashcroftplayable journalist in Resident Evil Outbreakdiscreet figure of the universe. The story will take place a priori in 2027, just after the events of Resident Evil Village (the last part released in 2021), but before the DLC Shadows of Rose.
Capcom promises a return to the foundations of survival horrorwith a sticky and claustrophobic atmosphere, environments full of traps, puzzles, and references to mythical places like the City Raccoon police station. The whole will be carried by a new version of the engine Re Engineeven more realistic and immersive, with the care of Ray Tracing.
Another clue slipped into the trailer: the possible reappearance of Lisa Trevordeform and tragic creature introduced into the remake of resident Evil.
In a video message broadcast during the event, Jun Takeuchidirector at Capcom, wanted to thank the community: “Thanks to all of you, ‘Resident Evil’ is about to celebrate his 30th anniversary next March.
