Who says end of year celebrations said Holiday and therefore The Holidaythe movie! The romantic comedy of Nancy Meyersreleased in 2006, is one of the cozy Christmas films, especially because we feel so good in this little English cottage heated by wood, where the teapot whistles while we take a nice hot bath… Missing luckily, this adorable English house that Kate Winslet exchange with Cameron Diaz does not exist!

It is Jude Law who confides it in an interview on the BBC this week. No, you cannot rent this accommodation on Airbnb, “because this cottage doesn’t actually exist!“.

“And that’s how Jude Law stole Christmas. Sorry if I just burst your little bubble…”

The British actor laughs and goes further by detailing the real history of this little house:

“So the director, Nancy Meyers, is a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to this. She looked at this whole area in the English countryside and couldn’t quite find the chocolate country house she was looking for. So she just rented a land and drew it and asked someone to build it!”

And dig even deeper the grave of the illusions of fans of The Holiday, Jude Law completes: “What’s really funny is if you watch the movie, we shot in the winter here, but every time I walked in the door of the cottage, we cut, and we were shooting the interiors in about Los Angeles. three months later…”
