The beautiful speech of Timothée Chalamet, crowned Best Actor at the 2026 Golden Globes

The Franco-American actor wins his first major trophy, after 4 unsuccessful nominations at the Golden Globes, added to two failures at the Oscars.

This is one of the big surprises of the evening: Timothée Chalamet took Leonardo DiCaprio’s scalp last night during the 2026 Golden Globes ceremony.

The 30-year-old actor won the award for Best Actor in a Comedy Film, thanks to his stunning performance as a crazy table tennis player in Marty Supreme (which will be released in France next February). He thus defeats the favorite announced months ago.One Battle after another. The moment is important for the Franco-American star, often nominated for a decade, but never winning until now. Beaten twice at the Oscars, Timothée Chalamet had also previously lost 4 times at the Golden Globes (Call Me by Your Name, Beautiful Boy, Wonka, A Perfect Stranger).
