The Lion King 2 is unbeatable at the French box office, Sonic 3 returns to the podium

At the top of the French box office for five weeks, Mufasa: The Lion King stays one step ahead. 285,466 curious people discovered this family film over the last 7 days in 995 cinemas, and 4.2 million people in total. A big score, which nevertheless does not equal that of its elders: in 2019, The Lion King had made more than double by crossing the barrier of 10 million entries! Just like the 1994 animated film, in fact.
A Bear in the Juraby Franck Dubosc, follows closely behind, attracting 219,136 people in 896 theaters in France, or already nearly 1 million tickets sold in three weeks. Surprise, Sonic 3 returns to the podium to complete its first month of operation. + 152,401 tickets exchanged on 961 copies, the adventure comedy has brought 2.2 million spectators to France so far.
In the rest of the ranking, The Room Next Doorby Pedro Almodovar, Babygirl, With fanfare And Moana 2 win more than 100,000 tickets each, which brings the total of Emmanuel Courcol’s comedy beyond 2 million, and the animated film from Disney studios to 7.7 million. The drama carried by Nicole Kidman is the only novelty to start beyond this score, since I’m still hereby Walter Salles, and the horror film Wolf Man start below the mark of 100,000 tickets sold.
