The Stephen King cujo will be entitled to a remake on Netflix
40 years later, the bloodthirsty dog of the 1980s will come out the fangs!
Stephen King Stheterly always has a hellish coast in Hollywood! While 5 films taken from his novels are still to be seen this year in the cinema, it is now his legendary Cujo which will be entitled to a new adaptation.
While Edgar Wright finishes his remake of Running ManNetflix embarks on a remake of Cujo. The feature film is currently in pre-production, after the platform successfully obtained the rights of the book published in 1981, and already adapted in 1983 by the director Lewis Teague, with Dee Wallace and Danny Pintauro.
The new Cujo will be produced by Roy Lee. For the moment, the script is not written and Netflix is looking for a screenwriter as well as a director. The exit is therefore not planned for immediately.
Cujo is an emblematic horror film from the 1980s and 1990s, with a bloodthirsty killer dog, a formerly friendly Saint-Bernard, which becomes a killer after being bitten by a rabid bat. “”Donna Trenton’s husband is in New York, trying to manage a catastrophic advertising campaign.
