X-Men: we know who will play Angel in the new Marvel film

The winged mutant will be played by Asa Germann, revealed in the Gen V series.

The new movie X-Men of Marvel continues to complete its cast.

Asa Germann, revealed in the series Gen Vwas chosen to play Angel, the mutant capable of flying thanks to his immense wings.

He joins a team already composed of Sadie Sink in the role of Jean Grey, Kit Connor as Cyclops, Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, Inde Navarrette as Malicia, Christopher Abbott as Professor X and Maya Boyd as Storm. Marvel Studios revealed part of this new team during the last D23 convention.

Another significant arrival: Adam Driver will play Mr. Sinister, one of the great enemies of the X-Men in the comics. The film will be directed by Jake Schreier, already at the helm of Thunderboltsand will be released in cinemas on May 3, 2028 in France.

Real name Warren Worthington III, Angel is a mutant whose large wings allow him to fly.

The character had already been brought to the screen in X-Men: The Last Standwhere Ben Foster played him as an adult. Then in X-Men: ApocalypseBen Hardy took over the role, but in his evil version of Archangel, with metallic wings.

For Asa Germann, this is a new superhero role after Gen Vspin-off of The Boys. He played Sam Riordan, a young, almost invulnerable superhero with superhuman strength. He also appeared in the fourth season of The Boys and this year in Scream 7.

With this new recruit, the casting of the next X-Men therefore begins to take a particularly ambitious form. Now it remains to be seen what this new team of mutants will look like on the big screen.
