Disney+ has just revealed the official trailer for The Beauty, an eleven-episode series produced by Ryan Murphy. An international thriller as glamorous as it is disturbing, which directly questions our contemporary obsession with physical perfection.
In The Beauty, the fashion world is hit by a series of horrific deaths among international models. FBI agents Cooper Madsen (Evan Peters) and Jordan Bennett (Rebecca Hall) are sent to Paris to investigate. Very quickly, they discover the existence of a sexually transmitted virus capable of transforming ordinary individuals into physically perfect versions of themselves…at a terrible price. Their investigation leads them to The Corporation, a mysterious tech billionaire played by Ashton Kutcher, who has developed a miracle drug called “The Beauty”. Willing to do anything to protect his multi-billion dollar empire, he can count on his formidable henchman, The Assassin (Anthony Ramos). As the epidemic spreads, Jeremy (Jeremy Pope), an outsider caught in the chaos, searches for meaning in his survival, while the investigation takes agents from Paris to Venice, Rome and New York, facing a threat that could change the future of humanity…
The first three episodes of The Beauty will be available on Thursday January 22 on Disney+ in France. The following will arrive each week, before a final broadcast of the last four episodes in blocks of two.
