Daniel Craig at DC Studios? He could play Sgt. Rock at the cinema
The English actor hopes to reunite with the Italian director of Queer, Luca Guadagnino, who is working on the adaptation.
He is one of the few who has not yet succumbed to DC or Marvel. Daniel Craig has never played a superhero, but he could play one Sgt. Rock in the cinema, in a DC Studios film, adapted from the DC Comics written by Robert Kanigher And Joe Kubertpublished from 1959.
It must be said that it is Luca Guadagnino who is in the running to direct the film. The Italian director of Call me by your Name And Challengers just made a film with Daniel Craig. Nothing to do with DC, in Queer, Daniel Craig plays an author who leads a dissolute life in Mexico with young American students, wandering around the city’s gay bars.
Daniel Craig And Luca Guadagnino could therefore find themselves for Sgt. Rockeven if no official deal has yet been signed between DC Studios, the actor and the filmmaker for the moment, specifies Deadline. It should be noted that the adaptation is currently written by Justin Kuritzkeswho also wrote the scripts for Challengers And Queer…
The character of Sgt. Rock is a World War II soldier known for his combat skills, near-perfect accuracy, calm demeanor, and much more. The film would be outside of the DC universe being created by James Gunn.
Note that Sgt. Rock could be shot before the remake of‘American Psychoalso covered by Luca Guadagnino. Daniel Craighe will return to Netflix in 2025 for the third film At loggerheads.
