Succession crushes series nominations at the 2024 Golden Globes

The final season of the HBO drama, praised by the press, is emerging as the big favorite of the evening.

Awards season has launched in Hollywood and despite the controversies of recent years, the awards ceremony Golden Globes remains a crucial moment for productions. Even if it is no longer quite the antechamber of the Oscars, the statuettes awarded by the 300 foreign journalists of the Academy retain an undeniable value. Particularly for the small screen, where Golden Globes are still the second most prestigious award after the Emmy Awards.

And this year, the big winner should be a Roy. Succession won nine nominations for its last season and will be the big favorite of the evening, even more than The Crown, also in its final season. On the comedies side, it is Disney + which will be in a strong position with The Bear, Only Murders in the Building And Abbott Elementary.
