The Bridgerton Chronicles: Benedict enters the scene in the trailer for season 4

Ball season is open.

Netflix has unveiled the highly anticipated trailer for season 4 of The Bridgertons, finally offering a substantial first look at Benedict Bridgerton’s romance. This new burst of episodes will adapt An Offer From a Gentleman by Julia Quinn and will tell a love story with Cinderella overtones, centered on the meeting between Benedict and the mysterious Sophie.

Season 4 changes focus to focus on the family’s second son, Benedict, played by Luke Thompson. Until now resistant to marriage, the bohemian artist watched his brothers and sisters fall in love… until the evening when everything changed. During the masked ball organized by his mother, he meets an enigmatic Lady in Silver who upsets all his certainties.

The trailer (watch below) opens with Penelope Featherington visiting Queen Charlotte for the launch of a new debutante season, while Lady Whistledown prepares to take up the pen again. “You need to start right!” orders the sovereign, pushing Penelope to reconnect with the formula that has become cult: “Dearest Gentle Reader.”

Against a backdrop of spicy narration, Benedict is warned that he will have to “give in to the most powerful force: mothers”. The teaser then introduces Sophie Baek, played by Yerin Ha, illegitimate daughter of the Earl of Penwood. Dreaming of escaping her condition, she nevertheless lives as a servant under the roof of Araminta and her daughters. Helped by other servants, Sophie manages to slip incognito to the masked ball, where she meets Benedict. But when midnight strikes, Sophie runs away, convinced that Benedict is only looking for an illusion: that of the lady in the silver dress. The trailer then shows Benedict going in search of her, glove in hand, determined to find the one who shook his heart, despite secrets, social barriers and the weight of conventions.

Season 4 of The Bridgerton Chronicles will arrive in two parts: part 1 on January 29, then part 2 on February 26, on Netflix.
